SU10 Password Reset for mass users

Password reset from SU10/SU12 is possible now. This was added with the SAP Note 1469961 (SU01/SU10: Revision to password dialog box).

It uses the same BAPI (BAPI_USER_CHANGE) to reset the password for the mass users and is available in the log file.

However, the dialog box is not so user friendly and doesn’t navigate through the steps correctly.

Further, this note also fixes few other issues related to SU10.

where can i find the log file ?

  The log file is available directly on the screen. You need to expand the user IDs and you can see the new passwords listed.

Hi

After creating MASS User’s around more than 20 using T-Code SU10 by mistake we close the log screen where the system generated Passwords are available. Now kindly if you or nay one in the forum can guide me how to retrieve those passwords after closing the log Screen? Without re-generating.

Hi Ale,

The SU10 log is not saved either in any table/as a file. If you have closed it, you need to re-generate the passwords for all those users again.

I see that when i generate the passwords using the SU10, the generated passwords are different for each user. Is there any way to keep same password for all users?

  No. The wrapper program automatically generates the passwords. If you wish to define your own password, use eCATT scripts.

I have another issue while running secaat to create a TEST script I have downloaded your screen shot pdf file and followed it I am not getting the screen of parameter maintenance on page no 6 it goes to next screen

Any Idea what could be wrong
