GRC Access Control 10.0 SP10 or higher has a new functionality, which is Decentralized Firefighter or EAM. It allows users to utilize the FireFighter component the same way as in version 5.3 FireFighter.
SP10 or later allows the option of choosing centralized FireFighting (logging into the GRC central system and then from there connecting via RFC to target systems) or de-centralized FireFighter (FireFighter component will be used directly from the target system)
To setup decentralized FireFighter:
Add the parameter 4015 in the GRC central system with value as YES
Add the parameters 4000, 4001, 4008, 4010 in the satellite systems with the respective values.
SAP Note 1690964 provides more information on “Emergency Access Management Overview Documentation”
However, in a decentralized firefighter system, user need to execute transaction code /GRCPI/GRIA_EAM, instead of GRAC_SPM or GRAC_EAM
Note the below changes:
Parameter 1089 is replaced with 4000 in the satellite system
Parameter 1090 is replaced with 4010 in the satellite system
Parameter 4015 is added newly in the GRC central system to define the type of Firefighter
